Mommy and Sue passing me around in May 2010

Hi everybody!
Here are some pictures that DOJ took around May 2010 when Sue was visiting us. We think it was around May, because I wasn't crawling that much, and we were in France in April. Anyway, I just wanted to share them because I was having so much fun while Mommy and Sue were chatting and passing me back and forth with each other.

Initially Sue is holding me while looking at Mommy and chatting.

Now Mommy is holding onto me while still chatting with Sue.

Now Sue is helping me stand on the couch.

And Sue is helping me stand on her leg, all while in conversation with Mommy!

Finally, Mommy and Sue have stopped passing me back and forth, and now we're just clapping.
I'm not sure why it took me so long to blog about this, because it was a lot of fun. Of course, if they were to try the same thing in this day and age, I'd be off the couch and running about before they even sat down!

Leaders of the Pack

Hi everybody!
It's me, Julien the Baby!
I'm busy as ever, thanks to my parents signing me up for different social activities. I go to Tot Gym, a music class, a motion class, Baby Pilates, and of course I get to see Ruby at least once or twice a week.
Lucky me, I get to have Tot Gym with Rowan! It was really good to see him and his mommy Julie on Thursday at Tot Gym. We've known each other for over a year, ever since we met at Baby Pilates. And as you may know, we were in Hawaii together at the same time, so we also hung out a lot there.
Here we are practicing our future roles as Leaders of the Pack. Surely you remember that song from Twisted Sister.




We have a lot of fun together! We're such baby boys!

Feb 24 - Mar 1 2011 Maui (Hawaii) trip!

Hi everybody!
It's me, Julien the Baby!
As I mentioned in a previous post, we went to Maui in late February. It was a very fun vacation! It was my first time in Hawaii... Mommy's first time since 2004... and DOJ's first time since 1983! We had thought about coming to Hawaii for awhile, ever since Ruby went to Hawaii in December 2009.
So here's the really fun part: Sam and his parents and Sue were also there. In fact, Sam's mommy came up with the idea! And Rowan and his parents were also there. We all stayed at the same complex, although in separate rooms since Sam, Rowan, and I all like to have our own places to sleep even if we have fun spending the day together.
There are so many great beaches in Maui, and one fun element is snorkeling. We went to Snorkel Bob's shop so that we could rent some great snorkel gear. Both Mommy and Daddy wanted to be able to go in the ocean and look at the coral and beautiful tropical fish underwater.

The shop assistant also gave me flippers to try on, because she said that I was definitely the right age to snorkel!

Here I'm wearing my bathing-design romper and putting on a snorkel flipper fin. It was a bit too large for my tootsie!

I still had fun trying on the fin, but in the end, I decided that just Mommy and DOJ would use the snorkel gear.

In case you've wondered what DOJ looks when he's wearing a snorkel mask, here it is. I had to tell him to remove the mask when we left the shop - he didn't realize that he would only need to wear it at the beach. I think he was planning to wear it in the car while driving. Silly DOJ!
As I get more pictures from Maui, I'll blog more, because it really was a wonderful vacation. I can't wait to return. It'll be bonus if other baby friends also go - hint hint Ruby :-)

2/9/11 Tot Picasso

Hi everybody!
It's me, Julien the Baby!
Back in February, I went to Tot Picasso class with Mommy right after we flew to Chicago for a long weekend. It was a fun opportunity for Mommy to see what I do in Tot Picasso class!

Here's the start of my painting work...

A few minutes later: suddenly there is a little paint on the hands, a little paint on the table, and even some paint on the actual project (a valentine!)

One minute later: it was really fun to feel the paint on my hands instead of on the paper! When the paint is on the paper, then I can't feel it very well.

Two minutes later: Not only is it fun to feel the paint on my fingers, but it's also fun to look at something else while feeling the paint!

Five minutes later: Mommy's wiped me up and now I'm at the Play-Doh table, which is fun... and very tactile. But it's different from painting!

My friend Sue!

Hi everybody!
It's me, Julien the Baby!
I haven't posted in quite awhile. I've just been very very busy with my fun Winter activities (like Tot Picasso and Tot Gym). Then in February we went to Chicago and Hawaii so that I could experience 2 extreme weather situations during the same month! That was a lot of fun. But I haven't had a chance to upload pictures to my computer, so no blog posts just yet...
So I wanted to blog about my friend Sue! She's actually Mommy's friend, as well as DOJ's friend, because Mommy and Sue went to college (Brown University) together, just like Sam's mommy & daddy, and Michele (Maya's aunt), and... Ruby's mommy! So they all went to Brown, although Ruby's mommy went at a different time, so she didn't know Mommy back at college.
Anyway I first met Sue when I was just a few days old, although I don't have any available pictures just yet. But here are some other pictures of Sue and me from early times!

Here we are on August 18, 2009, with her friend Brian. I was just 2 months and 2 weeks old in this picture!

And here we all are with Sam and his parents on September 12, 2009! You can see that Sam's mommy is holding & feeding me while Sam's daddy is holding Sam, and Sue is smiling pretty for the camera.

Here Sue is holding and feeding me. You can see that even though I was busy drinking, I wanted to make sure to have a good pose for the camera as well!

Here's a picture of us with our other good friend Amy, from February 14, 2010. Although Amy's eyes were shut for the picture, you can see me grabbing for Sue while Amy's holding onto me!

Amy's another very dear friend that I'll have to blog about one day...
Anyway I'll try to not be so neglectful with my blogging, it's just that I really do get very busy! After all, I'm a baby - I'm now 21 months old. Oh speaking of which, Big Happy 21 Month Birthday to Ruby!!!
